Most of my entries should be unlocked but some others might be locked too.
If we have similar interests or met in real life and all that good stuff, I've love to add you back! I've let myself relax in the days after New Year's. With work starting back up tomorrow, I'm scrambling to throw out a little but of something to summarize some of the highlights of my year different than the list of events and shows that I posted before.I like making lists so. I don't think it really matters to rehash what I like about what I like. Not that anyone really reads my journal anyway. I guess these lists are mostly for myself. I'll probably regret not writing it fully later, but oh well. This is why I can't do long entries or reviews.

Yeah, I don't know if I'll ever get to that Yamabuki thing I've meant to. Real life and work has been taking over. However, it's not necessarily a negative take-over.After a 6-day work week full of parent observations, I let myself loose on Sunday.Against my better financial judgement (which I never had much of), I took a sudden invitation to hang out with some co-workers this past Sunday. All too often have I declined invitations, one of which was a recent get-together for a co-worker/friend's birthday.
Since the plans for this weekend was in Nagoya, I had no excuse to say no. I'm glad I didn't either.( )I came home pretty happy that night (and pretty damn poor). It was nice to get a feel to hang out with different people and doing different things. Even when there was something about BoyMen, it was still not really BoyMen at the same time. XDOh yeah, so to finish off my Sunday, just before midnight in Japan, I called my sister on Skype for her 25th birthday on February 8th. My dad was there too so I hung out with her and my dad via Skype while they ate breakfast and I had dinner. We discussed our vacation plans for August as well.
Yeah, I'm going to the Philippines once again but in August for my grandmother's birthday, once again. However, this time my dad, mom, sister, and two brothers are attending, so the whole family will be together!
I'm looking forward to it for the most part.Work is busy. Fandom is crazy, Nothing new!No really, I'll try to get to that Yamabuki thing tomorrow. I hope.G'night. I keep prolonging the post for the Seigaku vs Yamabuki musical that I've been drafting in my head. I definitely need a day to sit down and organize my thoughts to type it all up.In the mean time, I decided to go back to writing wishlists I used to always do for myself. Since moving to Japan, my interests just kept adding up and time and money roller coasters so I couldn't do it for my past years. These were my lists back in and.For those who don't know, usually my wishlists are mostly things I personally aim to own via myself.
I've always used to be a collector of things but that was when my interests were few. Now, while I still have collections I wanna complete, most of these things I want are because I truly wanna support these talents and things I would treasure in a material sense.I tried to organize them as best I could. I'll gradually be adding and editing throughout the year I hope! I only added links for future reference.( ). Another entry within a week? I admit I'm proud of myself! But, I guess cause a bunch of stuff's happened within the span of a few days.Monday was good-bad-day sandwich. In the morning was MagPri's first New Year event/shinnenkai, which I mistakenly thought was taking place in Kintetsu Passe.
So, I hopped on a taxi to jet over to Osu's D+, a building that was only about a 15 minute walk from my apartment. I made it in time for the event anyway! It was a bit. I didn't know what to expect of it aside from your chosen member autographing their debut single boxset cover. There was a lot of talk with Kengo as an in-need-of-help-from-Taishin MC and a small game between the boys where they weren't allowed to say any loan-words.
Poor Hikaru was the loser where he had to blow kisses at everyone in the audience during a song. The audience did a blind voting for the song they'd sing and the one I voted for, Spin the Sky, was chosen. I really do like that song so I hope it gets released on CD.
We also watched the boys write their new year goals/mokuhyou. Then, in numbered groups, we got to play a traditional Japanese card game called karuta. Each group got one member and I got Kaoru! I felt kind of bad postponing the start of the game to get a bit of explanation on the game rules but it meant Kaoru helped take care of me for a bit.
BUT, that guy is still competitive as hell! The game definitely put my hiragana reading to the test! In the end, I was shocked I tied to win so I did rock-paper-scissors with the other girl I was tied with. I ended up winning, but luckily Kaoru was kind and said he'd write the other girl another of his mokuhyou. So yeah, I ended up winning Kaoru's!That kid. His goal of the year is 'muscle'.
I was pretty shocked to have won something by my own skill! (I guess?) This is why I never win their lotteries. I'm super happy though, but I don't know how to properly display or store it. Kaoru wrote it too close to the edge to frame it nicely. XD( )I just hope nothing for the rest of this year will try to out-bad today. HAPPY NEW YEAR (again)! So, I rung in the new year with a lot of fun!( )It's medium luck, but I don't really care about that stuff. Oh well, medium luck is better than no luck!
So yeah, I rode back to Nagoya that night super happy. I'm going back to Osaka in a few weeks so hopefully others will be there for resale.Oh yeah, just before the musical, I called my family since it had just turned midnight there. My dad was really upset that I didn't call or message them during my busy Christmas running-around so I tried harder this time.
He's more tech-savy than I am and made the call a video-call that I didn't know how to turn off, haha. So, I did a few minutes of watching my dad get drunk for New Year's with our family pets. Then, the evening I got back from Osaka, I was super happy to message my best friend, Julie, a bit too. I didn't realize how much I missed them since I saw them in person last time.Today actually, I did a 4-hour Skype call with my sister and Jade!
Even just on Skype we're stupid. We started looking back at our friendship and our stupid antics that we had and will be had. We're planning another hang-out adventure in March so I'm looking forward to that!I thought I could finally rest but I'm horrible and still set up too many busy things for myself still.
Tomorrow, Sunday, I have another Skype party with Jade, my sis, and maybe Theo to watch all the NEWS and Arashi things. Monday, I have MagicPrince's New Year event and signing, then hanging out with a coworker. On Tuesday, I plan to go to Makoto's MachiBaru filming at their studio then maybe I'll watch a movie. Though, I should really prepare for work that I go back to on Wednesday! It's a pity that I go back to work with my heaviest, farthest, and most annoying school. At least I'll get rid of that sooner!
XDAnyway, so far a good first two days of 2016! Man, it's been months since my last real entry. BUT, at least I'm making an effort to write this last one for 2015? Better than nothing!I wanna write a brief update and overiew of the year. However, I'll start with a bit of what I did around Christmas!First, here's a collection of goodies I got for Christmas!I got little cup of chocolate from one of the Japanese teachers I work with (I guess she doesn't know I don't like chocolate, haha.)In the mail, always finds and sends me amazing decorative Christmas cards!!
This year was an awesome ornament! Then, I got a super neat Texas Christmas card from that even had a recipe on the back! Maybe if I learn to cook I'll give it a go!From a twitter friend, Nurf, I got a cool postcard from Singapore! I've really been looking to expand a postcard exchange with my friends this year (not that it's going all that great).A majority of my presents came from of which some I got on Christmas and some today!
I'm quite easy to buy for and we hang out WAY too much, haha. But from her, I got the Jack Santa and Leroy tsumtsum, Haikyuu's Kageyama keychain and Aichi-themed clearfile, and pairs of socks that I nearly bought myself. Most of them she ninja'd!It's not physical, but greeted me on Twitter with a lovely Christmas of my favorite Rudolph boys. From my family back home I got a nice $200 increase in my bank account.
XD( )There are a lot of things I'm looking forward to do in 2016. Lots of things are already planned actually! A big one is BOYS AND MEN's tour trip in Thailand! It's expensive but I think it will be worth it!
A bunch of stages are already planned for too!In 2015, a goal that Josie and I set up together was to visit at least two diffferent food restaurants in each month. We managed to do so in every month with the exception of November with only one restaurant. But, I'd say that we managed to fulfill that goal! Our next goal in 2016 is to watch at least 2 movies in the theater each month! Since moving to Japan and having had lived in Toyota, I wasn't able to watch as many movies in the theater as I usually did when I was in the states. It helps doing these kinds of things with someone.A conditon I'm going to set for myself in 2016 is to very my leisure activities and the events/shows I go to.
I'm already not quite doing a good job with that since I'm booked for three shows in 2016 for Tenimyu but. Yeah, I was try and see different things!
This past year has been nothing but MagPri, Tenimyu, and BoyMen. Aside from those, I've only seen one other music group (Da-iCE) and 5 stages excluding Tenimyu shows (Addams Family, Death Note, Kumo no Ito, Sailor Moon, Trump, Haikyuu).I do have a few things lined up for 2016 at least! For Tenimyu, I'm going to shows on January 1st, Valentine's Day, and the final day in Nagoya. What I have planned but not necessarily got tickets for yet are Hakuouki musical, Kuroko no Basket stage, Daiya no Ace live II, Hana Yori Dango musical, Dance with Devils musical, and Makai Ouji musical. I'm not even certain if there are dates I can make, haha.
But, those are my hopefuls already. I wanna anything new for me really.Anyway, I'm glad to get this entry out of the way since I'll be relatively busy this New Year's Eve and New Year's day!I hope everyone had a pretty good year themselves and hope entering the new year will be a pleasant one!Bye bye 2015!
